Mary-Louise Parker (born August 2, 1964 in Fort Jackson, South Carolina)
is an American actress. She has been the recipient of the Tony, Emmy and
Golden Globe awards. Her best-known works include Fried Green Tomatoes,
Boys on the Side, Proof, The West Wing, Angels in America, and her current
role on Showtime's Weeds. Mary-Louise Parker is an American actress

Her father was a judge and officer in the military, and the family of "army
brats" grew up on military bases around the United States. Parker's interest
in the arts began during high school, and she went on to major in acting
at the North Carolina School of the Arts. Following graduation, she moved
to New York City in the mid-'80s to pursue a career in theater.
